Description Location: NAS Patuxent River, MD Security Clearance Requirement: Secret Telework Eligible? No - 100% On-Site As the Air Vehicle Systems Engineer (AVSE), you will support the Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office (PMA-262) in Patuxent River, Maryland, working within the MQ-4C Triton Air Vehicle Systems Engineering (AVSE) team. This team, as a Level 2 Integrated Product Team (IPT) within the PMA-262 MQ-4C Triton structure, provides systems engineering and design management to optimize aircraft vehicle systems.
- Providing timely, technically sound engineering support to the AV Engineering Lead.
- Assisting the AV Engineering Lead in development and management of technical requirements for the AV design throughout the system's lifecycle.
- Assisting the AV Engineering Lead in ensuring appropriate technical area representation is in place to support various Triton AV related projects.
- Assisting the AV Engineering Lead in management of AV assigned tasks in the program master schedule.
- Assisting the AV Engineering Lead in coordinating engineering development, requirement adherence, and issue resolution within the AV Engineering team.
- Assisting the AV Engineering Lead with development of program acquisition and technical documents and briefing material.
- Participating in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and Air Vehicle design reviews.
- Assisting the AV Engineering Lead in the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other acquisition documents such as Statements of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), etc.
- Supporting the AV Engineering Lead with identification, analysis, and mitigation of program and systems safety risks in alignment with PMA 262 program risk management and NAVAIR system safety processes.
- Supporting the AV Engineering Lead in development and coordination of airworthiness requirements, as well as the identification of necessary data products for interim flight clearances.

- You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field along with three to five years of professional experience in air vehicle systems engineering or related roles.
- Alternatively, you have an Associate's degree with five to seven years of work experience, or eight to ten years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
- You have prior experience supporting NAVAIR Programs.
- You have familiarity with Systems Engineering processes and concepts.
- You have the ability to effectively communicate across a team of diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Range:
