The Role: Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a/an Environmental, Health and Safety Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
This co-op will support and coordinate special projects to drive the safety culture including assisting with ergonomics, machine guarding and hazard assessment. This role also supports with the safety committee and safety champion programs setting up training, meetings and coordinating meetings. The co-op will provide valuable support to the overall program and will assist in other EHS activities as needed (including inspections, auditing, and preparing presentations).
What You'll Do: * Coordinate projects such as ergonomics, machine guarding and hazard assessment reviews or other special topics needed. * Support on-going programs such as safety champions, safety committee as the EHS resources and liaison. * Participate in production meetings, site meetings and follow up on concerns. * Support, develop and coordinate engagement activities to support the safety culture. * Support work floor inspections, auditing, and assist in preparing for ISO audit for fall of 2025 of the EHS Management System. * Support industrial hygiene activities as needed. * Assist with document changes and updates, maintaining records for EHS programs. * Support other EHS programs as needed.
What We Seek: * Some knowledge of environmental regulation and policy required. * Introductory level of biology and chemistry is desirable. * Must be able to multi-task and work on several projects at a time. * Must be able to organize projects and track progress. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Critical thinking and project management. * Able to use Microsoft Office * Able to learn and use other software data bases as needed
Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year: * Student pursuing degree in Environmental Policy or Environmental Engineering, Health and Safety, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, or Public Health. * Graduation date of December 2025 or later
Eligibility: * Must be a currently enrolled student * Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in July through December * Must be familiar with the university's requirements to participate in a co-op program * Entegris does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to lift/move 50 pounds or more * Must be able to move throughout site up to several hours a day as needed. * Must have reliable transportation, as the co-op may have to travel or coordinate transportation to nearby sister site if needed.
