Role Overview

Syn Chem is currently looking for a Process Technical and Environmental Specialist.

Responsibilities:

* MON MACT emissions estimates using process write-ups and well documented procedures. Attend all chemical process reviews in NCD & WCD, and complete necessary documentation.

* MON MACT and RCRA emissions monitoring of equipment in Syn Chem. Follow-up to report problems to maintenance, and complete data entry and other appropriate documentation.

* Local exhaust ventilation (LEV) monitoring of SCID exhaust systems to assure equipment is functioning properly to maintain the safety of our employees. Document exhaust rates and compare to design standards, report any problems or discrepancies.

* Assist Syn Chem engineering & maintenance by providing technical support to operations for new equipment installations in support of process improvements and new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

* Experienced in Syn Chem processes and equipment

* Willingness to learn

* Proficient with MS Office software, especially Excel and Word

* Ability to work with operations to schedule equipment monitoring

* Desire to work with technical staff (process chemists, engineers, mechanics, etc.)

* Task oriented - monthly monitoring must be completed on time for environmental compliance reasons

* Self-motivated - able to work with little supervision to complete job requirements

* Desire to work Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day
