Schedule: Monday - Friday day hours / onsite

Summary: The Insurance & Claims Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's financial operations related to insurance claims and patient accounts. This role involves overseeing the accuracy and reconciliation of financial transactions, ensuring the timely management of aging receivables, insurance categories, and patient account records. The coordinator will handle and prioritize multiple phone inquiries, offering expert assistance to patients and clients with their questions and concerns.

You Will:

  • Manage financial transactions, ensuring accurate account reconciliation, and maintaining secure digital records
  • Oversee the accuracy and timely management of aging receivables, insurance categories, and patient account records.
  • Handle and prioritize multiple phone inquiries from patients and clients, providing expert assistance with questions and concerns and return phone messages daily.
  • Process and evaluate claims to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
  • Manage and resolve denials and appeals & investigate and address payer-related issues at both the claim and coverage levels.
  • Facilitate engagement with payers to resolve complex claims issues.
  • Conduct thorough denial analyses to identify and address adverse trends, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance in managing both regulatory and commercial insurance categories.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field required.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience in a medical office, collections, or insurance billing preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Pay Range: $19.46 - $27.25 USD Hourly Annual

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Generally, new hire offers will be between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range, depending on experience (DOE), with the ability to grow within the range over time.
