Position Summary:

Milacron is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Director to join our team in Batavia, OH. As the Senior Supply Chain Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the global supply chain and logistics strategy, which encompasses strategic sourcing, procurement, demand planning, and materials management. This position requires a visionary leader who can design and implement effective processes and organizational structures, driving collaboration and innovation. With a focus on cost-effectiveness and value creation, you will leverage exceptional negotiation skills to enhance sourcing and procurement activities while fostering a culture of accountability and alignment. This will ensure that initiatives are directly linked to business outcomes, including growth and return on capital.

Relocation assistance may be available to those that reside outside of the Greater Cincinnati/Tri-State area.

Work You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement plans to achieve cost savings, improve operational efficiency, and optimize business performance

  • Create and manage processes for materials management, demand planning, and supplier relationship management, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

  • Monitor market trends to identify opportunities and risks and leverage big data and analytics to discover patterns and enhance decision-making

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal) to align sourcing strategies with business objectives and support new product development and innovation

  • Lead and mentor global sourcing and procurement teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance, while providing coaching and career development

  • Establish key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of sourcing strategies, focusing on productivity, working capital, quality, sustainability, and compliance

  • Set strategic direction for the team, including the recreation of processes and procedures, and organizational design to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

  • Partner with suppliers to drive innovation, value, and manage supplier footprint optimization to mitigate risks and leverage cost advantages.

  • Coordinate with business leaders to implement corporate policies on supplier diversity, risk management, and data management

  • Ensure sourcing decisions are based on the total cost of ownership and manage team budgets effectively

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • 7+ years of experience leading global supply chain teams within an engineer-to-order or industrial manufacturing environment

  • Prior experience building out and implementing supply chain framework and organization

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time globally

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or relevant certification (CPSM, CSCP)
