Procedure Writer - ERDF/IDF

CTI and Associates, Inc. We are currently seeking a Procedure Writer to support landfill management, operations, inspection, and maintenance services under subcontract to the Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo) for the Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility (ERDF) and the Integrated Disposal Facility (IDF). CPCCo is a prime contractor to the Department of Energy (DOE) at the Hanford Site near Richland Washington.

Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Will be responsible for developing and maintaining the CVE procedures and plans for the ERDF and IDF facilities.
  • Manage assigned scope and ensures scheduled activities are tracked and completed on time.
  • The procedure writer will be tasked with evaluating systems and processes.
  • The procedure writer will be tasked with planning and executing mockups.
  • Will be responsible for writing work packages to support work that is not covered by procedure.
  • Holds Job Hazard Analysis Meeting (JHA) to support development of procedures and work packages.
  • Coordinate input from multiple organizations involved in the development process and resolve field issues related to procedures.
  • Develop and maintain the Training System for employees as they are assigned to the facilities.
  • Train employees as necessary.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

  • Accountable to Integration Manager

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and field environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Field work requires the proper use of PPE and adherence to posted signage.

Physical Demands

The duties of this job require the employee to regularly talk and hear in a noise environment that is normally quiet to moderate.

Light Work Category - Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. The employee exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit use hands to feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Education & Certifications:

  • High school degree

Experience & Requirements:

  • 5 years DOE site experience
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience, preferred as a technical writer (procedures, specifications, work packages etc.)

Compensation

$106,663 - $147,775 Dependent upon experience and qualifications
