Maintenance Manager

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The position: The Maintenance Manager is responsible and accountable for safe, compliant execution of the maintenance strategy for the production facility at the assigned location, aligning the annual goals to the strategy, cascading the goals and then supporting the site Maintenance teams with the direction, resources, and motivation to achieve or exceed the goals. The Site Maintenance Supervisor must lead in a way that demonstrates the importance of safety and first time right. He/she must lead her team to implement change in a feedback rich environment which generates mutual respect and committed team members. Results must be achieved in a sustainable fashion. The Maintenance Manager is expected to be able to thrive in a fast paced and very dynamic environment.

The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $120,000- $150,000 Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Air Liquide considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
  • Support an Electronic Materials production facility that specializes in the purification and packaging of high-purity gasses and chemicals for customers in the semiconductor industry

  • Ensures a high level of safety and integrity in daily operations from subcontractors and fellow employees by enforcing safety procedures and policies including permitting, LOTO, PPE utilization, and hazard assessments.

  • Manage maintenance team

  • Develop maintenance strategy that includes Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) concepts

  • Develop routine, preventive and predictive maintenance on all facility and process systems and effectively utilize preventive maintenance software-based management system as site super-user

  • Develop and manage site improvement projects related to Safety, Security, and Reliability

  • Effectively supervise contractors when utilized on projects to ensure compliance to internal quality and safety standards

  • Develop and manage the facility schedule for the completion of HAZOP/FMEA reviews for all system installations and insure compliance of current systems

  • Develop and submit all operations and regulatory reports and record keeping as deemed necessary for facility and operations

  • Support HSE manager to ensure compliance with regulations of governing agencies, including OSHA, PaDEP, EPA, and DOT and Air Liquide HSE standards (IMS/QMS)

  • Proactively promote safety, health, and environmental programs

  • Assure the accident and incident free conduct of all aspects of the unit's operation

  • Organize safety team meetings, and safety inspections per procedure

  • Manage HR issues (work-hours, paper work, absences, performance evaluation, career path)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

  • 5+ years direct maintenance experience

  • Ability to manage complex technical issues

  • Extensive knowledge of chemicals and gasses

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and participate in multiple projects

  • Competent in utilization of CMMS systems, and how to integrate with standard maintenance work practices

  • Computer literate - MS Applications, SCADA, Auto-CAD

  • Competent in facility network systems design and use

  • Good verbal communication skills and teamwork/interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated with good leadership skills

  • Knowledge of cleanroom discipline desirable

  • Uncompromising commitment to safety

  • Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment

  • Evidence of efficiency/productivity success within a maintenance team

  • Ability to effectively and proficiently communicate both verbally and written in English

Preferred experience

  • 5-10 years of relevant electronic specialty gas experience

  • Experience with semiconductor customer expectations
