The Job

Collect medical records to support HCI audits.

You Will



  • Contact SCAN providers to collect medical records for HCI audit-related activities through the following, but not limited to, telephonic communications, fax transmission and email correspondence.
  • Process each medical record received and evaluate information for completeness and accuracy. Perform follow up or further outreach to obtain or track down missing records and information.
  • Enter information required in the database accurately and completely.
  • Track assigned projects given by his/her direct Supervisor.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of business information, including Protected Health Information (PHI), as required by HIPAA and company policy.
  • Performs day-to-day administrative tasks such as photo copying, faxing, filing, and others duties as assigned.
  • Actively support the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Your Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of medical record collection experience.
  • Working knowledge of IP and OP medical records components.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to navigate and abstract various types of medical record documentation, including paper and electronic records from all healthcare settings.
  • Must be professional in appearance, speech, and conduct.
