Job Duties



  • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
  • Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
  • Extensive travel nationally and at times internationally.
  • Travel frequency and duration 50-75% based on your home location.
  • Applicants should expect to on out of town job sites for 2-3 weeks without returning home.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports
  • Document processes
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical /electronic problems on Pregis packaging lines, basic computer networks and Accessories/Peripheral systems including hardware and software.
  • Tie workflow to schedule


  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
  • Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with technical team and share information across the organization
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations and briefings
  • Build positive relationships with customers


  • Maintain excellent customer satisfaction by troubleshooting, repair and if necessary, escalation of ongoing technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills, utilizing Electronic testing equipment, wiring diagrams and applications / tools available on the company's laptop including (Indra works, Siemens, Allen Bradly, and Exor).


  • Escalate verbally and Via E Mail difficult to solve problems to the technical support group in a timely manner. Work with the installation team to Install and commission new equipment.
  • Prepare job time estimates and reporting as requested by engineering department.
  • Product knowledge and the ability to communicate clearly verbally and written (internal and external).
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner ( i.e. expenses, time sheets, escalation reports, Service reports, online training courses as needed.



Required Education, Experience and Qualifications



  • Associates degree or equivalent job experience
  • 5+ job related work experience in Electrical or Mechanical and Field Service
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
  • English literacy
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules, including overtime, or weekend work and periodically multiple weeks of travel at a time
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
  • Posses a valid driver license

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis' total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $66 to $80K.
