Description
Position Description: Temporary Seasonal Lead Lifeguard - Ambler Campus Pool Temple University, Ambler Campus seeks Seasonal Lifeguards. The pool opens the first week of June and will close by the end of September. We seek individuals to work special pool events throughout the summer and early fall. The work schedule is predominantly weekdays, with some weekend shifts available. We see someone who is responsible and reliable. Good communications and excellent customer service skills are important. The ability to work with K12 students/campers is important. Essential Functions: * Opening the pool and setting up for the day's activities * Monitoring pool-related activities closely throughout shift and identifying any safety issues * Directing swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditions * Monitoring weather reports closely to ensure safety of swimmers and guests * Aiding swimmers and guests when appropriate or necessary * Overseeing the cleanliness of the areas in and around the pool * Conducting regular pool water tests and logging test data into Excel spreadsheet * Conducting regular checks of locker rooms and reporting housekeeping and maintenance issues to manager.
