Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States can be found in the JOB INFO section below. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Cyber Security Analyst!

Are you passionate about IT Cyber Security? As a Cyber Security Analyst, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate professional for a Cybersecurity Analyst position on the Cybersecurity & Communications Team working on commercial and federal customer projects. The successful candidate will work with a high-performing and cross-functional team. This role will support the technical aspects of project tasks, including secure network communications design, cybersecurity configuration, and risk management and assessments. This role requires the successful candidate to communicate effectively with team members and customers and ensure customer experience and expectations are met or exceeded. Work may be performed from an S&C office location or remotely from your home office location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve with or as the technical lead, customer point of contact, and counterpart to the Team Lead / Project Manager in cybersecurity project scopes.
  • Work with Team to develop a strategy and timeline to meet each project's milestones and deliverables.
  • Monitor assigned project progress to ensure that the project is on schedule.
  • Participate in the network design, security architecture, and development of diagrams.
  • Participate in hardware, software, communications media specification.
  • Participate in device configurations and hardening for security compliance and risk management.
  • Work with Team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality cybersecurity documentation including security policies and procedures, diagrams, RMF artifacts, configuration guides, and training materials.
  • Participate in cybersecurity assessments including vulnerability and compliance scans and reports.
  • Participate in S&C's Information Security program as it applies to customer-facing services.

What you'll Need to Succeed

  • Current CCNA, Security+ CE, GICSP, or other DoD IAT/IAM Level II certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in a cyber security or computer-science related field.
  • Experience with network design and configuration, including IPv4 and IPv6 addressing and subnetting, IP routes and VLANs, access control lists, cable, media, and network device specification, and network drawings in Visio.
  • Experience in securing Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Cisco operating systems (i.e., in routers, switches, and firewalls) for operational environments, energy devices (e.g., meters, relays, RTACs), including security event log and syslog configuration.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity standards, frameworks, and repositories including NIST 800-53, NIST 800-82, NIST 800-171, UFC 4-010-06, UFGS 25 05 11 and 25 08 11, and eMASS; NERC CIP is a plus. Ability to obtain an IAT level II or IAM level II certification.
  • Adaptability and strong analytical, collaborative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a customer focus, and the ability to relay technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to be adaptable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Be self-motivated and comfortable functioning effectively with minimal oversight within a global Teams environment.
  • Ability to travel within the continental US as well as internationally on an average of 4-5 times per year for 1-3 weeks per trip.
  • Be able to pass a DoD background check & can enter DoD installations
  • Ability to obtain a DoD CAC.
