Scope:

Working within a high-production industrial environment, the AS9102 Operator completes one of the final quality reviews prior to product being shipped to the customer. The AS9102 Operator pulls material certifications, customer drawings, quality reports, industry & customer specific standards, and production notes to compare and verify materials used and product dimensions are within scope. The Operator compiles documentation and prepares the AS9102 report, providing evidence that final printed circuit boards meet customer specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and accurately understand the shop traveler (job order, instructions, and customer/industry specifications).

  • Obtain material certifications, production notes, and quality reports to compare to customer order.

  • Analyze PCB dimension and tolerance data to ensure they are within scope of the customer specifications; independently determine if results are acceptable.

  • Ability to read and understand requirements on a customer supplied blueprint utilizing all supplied data and or equipment necessary.

  • Enter data into the quality software system and spreadsheets.

  • Compile customer specifications, drawings, material certifications, quality reports, and production notes to create the final AS9102 report

  • Immediately escalate product issues to management or engineering.

  • Acquire production materials, set up the production area, and maintain a clean and safe environment.

  • Follow all safety training and procedures as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemical handling, and hazardous waste.

  • Responsible for immediately reporting all accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.

  • Cross train on operations and equipment within the area.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to read and comprehend English written instructions, including manufacturing work orders, customer specifications, blueprints, and shop control documents.

  • Independent and analytical thinker who can remain organized while working with various reports and data.

  • Quality centered mindset with strong attention-to-detail and an understanding of mathematical concepts such as x-y axis.

  • Able to be a positive team member while also working independently.

  • Manual dexterity (hand/finger/eye coordination) is essential to the AS9102 Operator job.

  • General computer skills and ability to update electronic records, enter data into systems, and send emails.

  • Able to sit or stand throughout a shift and independently push, pull, or lift 10-20 pounds.

  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job.

  • Consistently meet attendance requirements. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as necessary.

  • Ability and willingness to cross-train in other departments, learning to operate other machinery.

  • Comfortable working within a manufacturing environment that includes machinery, moving parts, noise, and chemicals.

Education and Experience:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Experience within the aerospace industry or AS9100 is a plus. Strong computer skills and technical aptitude.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple administrative and written tasks professionally and accurately within designated timelines.

  • Previous experience reading and interpreting GD&T requirements on manufacturing drawings helpful.

  • PCB/CCA experience preferred, but not required. Previous quality inspection experience or electronic assembly background helpful.

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$40,044 - $63,295

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
