SUMMARY/ JOB DESCRIPTION: TWB is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Monroe, MI. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment in an efficient and safe manner. The role includes preventative maintenance, facility upkeep, and machine repair, requiring a strong technical background. A successful candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently while ensuring all quality and safety standards are met. Ideal candidates will have experience with PLCs, motor controls, and automation equipment and the ability to read and interpret technical prints. Candidates must be willing to engage in continuous learning and technical skill development to support facility operations effectively. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned.
- Successfully troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
- Complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction.
- Accountable for entering data into the maintenance system timely and accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform basic and advanced electrical work safely in a maintenance environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects throughout the facility.
- Capable of working independently; responsible for cross-functional tasks on equipment.
- Promote and adhere to safety rules and regulations.
- Attend regional training programs for safety and technical skill development.
- Ability to work a rotating or set schedule as needed.
- Complete a thorough development plan and job shadowing on an established schedule.
- Complete required training and assessment testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of AC/DC motor drives, PLC controllers, and motor control circuits.
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
- Knowledge or experience in the maintenance of robots and automation equipment is desirable.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
- Mechanical, welding, and cutting skills.
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
- Strong problem-solving skills, safety practices, and attention to quality.
- Basic workbench and computer skills.
- Basic math skills.
- CPR and first aid training may be required.
- Training in lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, and confined space procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience (5+ years preferred).
