Global Planner

Peekskill, NY (Hybrid)

The Color Materials business unit is seeking a strong Global Planner to ensure global demand & supply balance to achieve best in class service levels while balancing cost and inventory for materials produced in North America.The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Global Product Management Team and manufacturing teams to provide proactive solutions for our customers and business teams.

Responsibilities:

• Planning in monthly buckets: net demand calculation based on customer forecast, inventories, and production capacities. Coordination with Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Production, import planner
• Participation in the global S&OP process: execution of Supply Review and Alignment Meetings, deliver input and escalate into global S&OP meetings with demand and supply balance transparency.

• Execution of planning and inventory strategies, maintenance of safety stock parameters (safety stocks. Lot sizes, Lead Times) and review in global network.
• Inventory Management: setting and monitoring of target stock on planning parameters and net demand development, incl. global slow mover and shortage management
• Support inventory taking and adjust inventory differences
• Achieve Global Supply Chain Key Metrics and deliver high profile/special projects.

Education & Experience:

• 5+ years' experience in Supply Planning and/or Demand Forecasting preferably for a chemical company.
• BS degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Business, Economics, Supply Chain or a related field
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification or nearing completion of certification preferred
• Knowledge of distribution networks, transportation modes, warehousing operations, and Best Practices
• Strong leadership and change management skills
• Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
• Effective data analysis skills
• SAP APO experience, or equivalent MRP system
• MS-Excel skills -Knowledge of querying/database/spreadsheet applications

Salary Range: 100K - 115K
