Position Overview:

The Senior Executive Director, Student Success Operations, at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide Campus plays a pivotal leadership role, tasked with the comprehensive oversight of all student success operations within the U.S. This executive directs the management and oversight of Academic Advising, Site Operations, Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT), and F-1 Advising, as well as initiatives related to matriculation and advising for the U.S. Navy Community College (USNCC). Managing a team of over 135 personnel, the role is designed to operationalize the strategic vision set by the Vice Chancellor for Student Success, enhancing operational efficiencies, elevating the student experience, and ensuring alignment with the university's strategic goals. A critical component of this role involves the analysis of student and operational trends to identify challenges and opportunities, making strategic recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for positive and corrective actions. This responsibility ensures that the university's student success strategies are data-driven and effectively adapted to changing educational landscapes.

Strategic Oversight and Leadership:

  • Set the strategic direction and ensure alignment of all student success operations with university goals.
  • Oversee directors responsible for Site Operations, Academic Advising, AMT, and F-1 Advising.
  • Ensure integration and alignment of matriculation initiatives and USNCC advising with broader strategies.
  • Conduct regular trend analysis of student and operational data to identify patterns that impact student success, providing strategic recommendations and corrective actions to the Vice Chancellor.

Collaboration and Policy Development

  • Foster collaboration among different operational sectors to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures that maximize operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Utilize trend analysis to inform policy development and ensure responsive adaptations to evolving educational and operational needs.

Performance and Quality Assurance

  • Monitor and evaluate performance across different departments to ensure they meet or exceed benchmarks.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards in student services and operations.
  • Analyze operational and student success metrics to guide continuous improvement initiatives.

Resource Management

  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently to support all facets of student success operations.
  • Engage in strategic decision-making impacting resource allocation, including lease management and partnerships.
  • Assess resource utilization against performance data to ensure optimal allocation aligned with observed trends and strategic priorities.

Stakeholder Engagement and Compliance

  • Maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support operational success.
  • Collaborate with Legal, IT, and State Authorization departments to ensure compliance with all relevant statutes and policies.
  • Leverage stakeholder feedback and compliance requirements to refine operational strategies and practices.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Leadership and/or Higher Education

  • Experience: 5-10 years in leadership, project management, data-driven decision making, partnership development, change management, and operational excellence. Familiarity with ERAU operations.
