Job Summary

The Center for Children and Family is currently seeking a Temporary Program Coordinator to join their team of professionals.

This individual will coordinate and assist with day-to-day project activities of the Giusto and Dai labs. The RA will split time evenly between the two labs.

Primary activities in the Dai lab will involve assistance with a clinical trial testing an online parent-coaching program for caregivers of young autistic children. Primary activities in the Giusto lab will include assistance with a clinical trial testing a peer-delivered intervention for father depression, alcohol use, and family engagement in Kenya on father outcomes, family well-being, and child mental health. In both labs, the research assistant will manage the research administrative aspects of the award, including coordination of issues related to the budget, staff, scheduling, IRB(s), recruitment, enrollment, and retention. They will work alongside other lab members. This individual will also help oversee nontechnical aspects of data management, organization, quality assurance and dissemination. They will also assist with the Principal Investigators short and long-range resource planning for the projects. In addition, they will manage day-to-day lab activities including upstart of other lab projects including co-leading new IRB protocols, reviewing new grant protocols, coordinating lab member meetings, and assisting with managing lab volunteers and personnel. For Dr. Giustos lab, the RA will also work remotely alongside a project coordinator based in Kenya. For Dr. Dais lab, the RA will participate in remote and in-person study visits with autistic children (some as young as 14 months old) and their parents. While traditional work hours (9-5; 40 hours per week) are expected, the RA will sometimes be asked to swap routine hours for evening and weekend hours to accommodate families schedules (to facilitate research visits).

The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of motivation, is self-directed and self-sufficient, is detail oriented and has well-developed organizational abilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assists in the development/maintenance of protocols, forms, materials, and procedures manuals.
2. Prepares the data collection materials and the REDCap database
3. Oversees and helps ensure participant recruitment, scheduling, compensation, and data management.
4. Participates in research study visits and data collection with children and adults.
5. Creates meeting agendas and presentations.
6. Manages IRB protocols, timelines, and amendments.
7. Helps manage requirements for clinical trials oversight.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; OR four (4) years of office or related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Positions under National Forensic Science Technology Center will require Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization in related field; OR an equivalent combination of relevant training and/or military experience.

Work Schedule

Monday -Friday (9-5); Flexibility for some weekends and evenings preferred

Advertised Salary

$24.00 per hour
