Senior Aerospace SSP, specializes in designing, manufacturing, and qualifying complex ducting systems for aerospace applications. Since its humble roots in 1945, the campus has now expanded to include a 59,000 sq. ft high-volume production facility, in addition to its legacy 131,000 ft2 main buildings which combined, accommodate over 500 employees. Vertically integrated with its own foundry, fabrication shop, and ISO certified engineering lab, Senior Aerospace SSP acquired by Senior PLC in 1995 and has continued its expansion into new programs and technologies. What does the job involve? Summary: The Director of Supply Chain will play a vital role in driving the supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with our business objectives. This role encompasses strategic planning, vendor management, logistics, procurement, and demand forecasting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
- Design and implement a robust supply chain strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Evaluate and optimize supply chain operations, ensuring agility and responsiveness.
- Oversee the entire procurement process, ensuring quality and cost-effective sourcing.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with key suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Predict and manage demand, ensuring timely availability of products and materials.
- Implement effective inventory management systems to minimize holding costs and optimize stock turnover.
- Oversee logistics, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
- Collaborate with transportation partners, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety norms.
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Assess and manage supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality and delivery commitments.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring supply chain resilience.
- Develop and manage the supply chain budget.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality.
- Other duties as required.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Proven experience in the aerospace industry.
- Proficient in supply chain management software and analytical tools.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Required Skills:
- Language: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong customer service skills with a proven track record of building customer relationships. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, contracts, professional journals, technical procedures, spreadsheets, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Mathematical Ability: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
- Other Abilities: Must be able to provide direction to a team. Must be able to develop and mentor. Must be able to work with all levels/personalities of customer and internal organization. Must be able to travel as required.

- Desk top computer, copy machine, calculator, four-line telephone and facsimile machine.
ITAR Compliance:
