The EHS Manager oversees all aspects of safety, health, and environmental compliance at the site. You will ensure adherence to local, state, federal regulations, and company mandates, while driving proactive safety programs and addressing potential risks. Main responsibilities include managing incident investigations, regulatory reporting, and promoting relationships with regulatory agencies and external partners. You will involve leading safety committees, ensuring waste management, and supporting employee health programs. Your profile has safety and compliance, with a focus on continuous improvement and risk reduction.

Your Title: EH&S Manager

Your will report to: Head of Operations

Travel Required: 10%

You will:

Site Safety & Compliance Management:

* Oversee site safety, security, health, and environmental policies to ensure compliance with regulations and company mandates.

* Develop and implement behavioral safety programs.

* Conduct regular site tours to address safety risks.

* Ensure safety and environmental standards are met in capital projects.

* Prepare and submit regulatory reports and maintain compliance documentation.

Incident Management & Risk Reduction:

* Investigate incidents and accidents, implement remediation plans, and support RTW assignments.

* Track safety audits, analyze trends, and report findings to management.

* Identify risks and reduce incidents.

* Chair safety committees and promote safety awareness.

Regulatory & Partner Relations:

* Serve as the main contact for federal, state, and local EHS regulatory agencies.

* Maintain relationships with external partners.

* Conduct EHS audits and implement corrective actions.

* Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities, ensuring documentation.

Employee Health & Training:

* Manage employee health programs, including check-ups, chemical exposure monitoring, and hearing conservation.

* Provide EHS advice and support cultural change.

* Lead EHS training programs for our employees.

Soft Skills & Leadership Responsibilities:

* Build relationships with employees at all levels by listening to concerns, providing thoughtful responses, and taking action when needed.

* Work with department managers to align EHS programs with operational goals. Communicate the "why" behind projects to gain support.

* Spend time on the production floor, connecting with employees, observing operations, and addressing safety concerns.

* Lead by example in creating a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Encourage open dialogue and employee participation in safety programs.

* Introduce and implement new safety programs by addressing concerns, involving important partners, and ensuring a smooth transition.

Your professional profile includes:

* Education: Bachelor's Degree in EHS Management or equivalent; Master's degree preferred in a related field (Chemistry, Engineering, EHS).

* Experience: 7+ years in EH&S management, in manufacturing settings, with a focus on Air Permit Program, SARA Title III, OSHA Compliance, and Emergency Response.

* Certifications: First Aid, CPR, 24-hour Hazardous Materials Technician, 8-hour Incident Command, and medical clearance to wear a respirator.

* Knowledge: Expertise in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Control, Root Cause Analysis, and Process Safety Management.

* Technical Proficiency: Fluent in English, computer literacy, and understanding of H&S management and emergency management processes.

* Regulatory Expertise: Ability to interpret and comply with EHS regulations, conduct audits, and manage hazardous/non-hazardous waste activities.
