POSITION SUMMARY:
Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care is seeking an academically oriented BC/BE Hematologist/Hematologic Oncologist for the Valley Center for Blood Disorders. Distinguished by its culture of excellence and by its talented medical staff, the Valley Health System has a long tradition of outstanding patient-centered care. Valley has joined forces with New York's Mount Sinai Health System to bring exceptional and distinctive care to patients in northern New Jersey. Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care provides unique clinical programs for our patients, as well as educational and research opportunities for our staff. We have QOPI certification and accreditation from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. RESEARCH An on-site team at Valley provides support for our active research program, which includes investigator-initiated trials in addition to NCTN and industry-sponsored research. Protected time is provided for clinical trials, and intramural funding is available for investigators to develop innovative research programs. Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care is the proud recent recipient of a grant to fund initiatives to increase patients' access to clinical trials and other opportunities for underrepresented patient groups. FACULTY OPPORTUNITIES COMING Beginning in July 2024, Valley's accredited Internal Medicine Residency program will offer teaching opportunities, and a Hematology/Oncology fellowship is being planned for 2026. Appointment to the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at a level commensurate with experience and academic potential is anticipated. SCOPE Join a busy and collegial team of outstanding Hematologists, Oncologists, and Nurse Practitioners as part of our growing program for patients with blood disorders or hematologic malignancies, the Valley Center for Blood Disorders. This also is an opportunity to share care with Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center specialists for patients who require cellular therapy.
