Reporting to the National Security Solutions Senior Manager, you will provide lab and field support to the Unmanned Aircraft Systems program.



  • Lab work: sensor testing and integration, modification of UAS or support systems to fit current testing parameters, organization of equipment for test events.
  • Field work: Travel to desert site to include early mornings or late evenings, field work both in a mobile lab and a UAV hangar to conduct test card generation, validation, and analysis.


This team works a 9x80 schedule onsite at our Research Education Campus facility in Idaho Falls, ID.

Qualifications


  • Undergraduate freshman-senior enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field



  • A minimum overall 3.0 GPA



  • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" or "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Compensation and Benefits:




  • Undergraduate Internships ($25.65/hour - $30.70/hour)



  • Masters Internships and PhD Internships Pre-Candidacy ($31.75/hour - $34.06/hour)



  • PhD Internships Post-Candidacy ($33.75/hour - $36.06/hour)



  • Eligible interns are provided paid holiday time off, and many of our internships offer travel reimbursements.



  • Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on degree field and level of education.
