Job Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service, accurate order entry, and administrative support.
- Coordinates incoming customer orders for chemical requirements, including tolling, from customers (via telephone or email), creates orders, and processes them into Navision (domestic and/or export orders as needed).
- Dispatches orders with Manufacturing or vendors.
- Confirms order and delivery date to customers (email/telephone).
- Works to solve any delivery problems between Manufacturing and customers, keeping the Director of Customer Service advised.
- Reviews daily order reports prior to distribution to management daily.
- Processes sales returns for applicable locations.
- Reviews freight claims as they arise and assists management in solving other shipping/invoicing issues between Accounting and customers.
- Coordinates the process of returned material pick-up from customer locations (domestic and export).
- Processes new customers from application to creation of account in the system (domestic and export).
- Maintains the US Chemical Sales SharePoint site.
- Provides back-up for the after-hours phone as needed.
- Continuously updates and maintains the working manual of order entry.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field or 5 years of relevant experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Ability to effectively work with, and maintain the confidentiality of, sensitive information.
- Willingness to work non-standard hours and travel overnight as much as necessary to achieve desired results or as requested by management.
- Maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Comply with all corporate policies and be sure the company's recommendations, designs and practices (including environmental and engineering) are in compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Be capable of effectively communicating in writing or speaking to various government, industry, customer, public, or employee(s) group.
- Ability to work with all levels of employment in all company locations.
- Ability to meet deadlines, good organizational and follow-up skills, be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
