**This position offers a hybrid schedule (in-office & remote/work from home) or an onsite schedule and flexible hours. Candidates will need to reside near Summerville, SC to ensure work site flexibility.**

Position Description:

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst (DA) II to join our team. The DA will play a key role in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to support business decisions and strategic intiatives. You will be responsible for writing optimized SQL queries, developing automated reports and dashboards, and working closely with stakeholders across various teams to provide actionable insights. This role requires a deeper understanding of data structures, statistical analysis, and business intelligence tools to drive data-driven decision-making.

Essential Functions

Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights.

Write complex SQL queries, create views, and optimize database queries for performance.

Utilize APIs to pull, transform, and analyze external and internal data sources.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or other visualization tools.

Collaborate with business teams to define key performance indicators and reporting requirements.

Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical analysis to support business decisions.

Create and maintain processes to generate accurate and timely reports that help stakeholders understand and act on key data insights.

Design scripts and tools to automatically extract large volumes of data from websites or other digital sources

Gather data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and third-party sources and ensure the upkeep of databases and data systems.

Assist in data governance efforts to ensure data integrity and consistency

Work with data engineers to improve data pipelines and ETL processes.

Assist in maintaining reporting dashboards to automate data sharing

Assist with development of new dashboards as needed and training to team members on how to use reporting and data tools effectively

Work collaboratively with cross-functional team to test and validate new reporting/modeling features

Effectively display data for decision making

Additional Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, IT or Statistics preferred, Computer Science, or any related field and three to five years of related professional experience
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
  • Experience working with relational databases and data warehouses.
  • Basic understanding of scripting languages like Python for data analysis is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data visualization
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tool.
  • Proven work history as a data analyst
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional setting
  • This position will need the ability to access US only data systems - US Citizenship is required.

Anticipated salary is in range commensurate with education and experience:
$115,000 to $125,000
