POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays an integral role in aligning business objectives with HR initiatives. The HRBP serves as a strategic partner to organizational leaders and employees, providing guidance and support on various human resources (HR) matters to drive organizational success. They are responsible for facilitating and coordinating the human resources functions for their designated business division, including recruitment and selection, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, engagement and retention activities, compensation, training and development, terminations and employee exit, compliance, and HR project management.

Schedule: Full-Time. Generally, Monday - Friday Office hours.

Estimated Salary: $65,000.00 to $72,000.00 (depending on experience & qualifications).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide HR consultation and guidance to managers and staff in assigned business division(s)/departments.
  • Consult and collaborate with managers in recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, engagement, and retention of staff.
  • Lead and/or support all HR functions throughout employee-life cycle for designated business division (e.g., performance management and evaluation, status and employment changes, terminations and exits, recognition, etc.).
  • Act as a trusted advisor/coach to management and employees, offering insights and solutions to address people-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Support managers and leaders to facilitate the resolution of performance management and employee relations issues, including coaching managers on progressive disciplinary action processes, documentation, etc. and maintaining HR records of steps taken.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and policy compliance, including communication, interpretation, and investigations.
  • Deliver HR related training and provide Organizational Development support to managers and staff. Coordinate and/or facilitate other employee training and development as assigned.
  • Build strong working relationships with leaders, managers and staff across the designated business division.
  • Partner and collaborate with leadership, managers, and business leaders to align HR strategies with overall business objectives and drive organizational growth and sustainability.
  • Communicate HR related systems and policies to managers. Monitor HR program effectiveness and participate in continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement HR programs and initiatives that support the company's goals and values.
  • Coordinate organization wide HR projects, as needed and in conjunction with the rest of the HR team.
  • Identify and address potential risks to the organization related to HR operations and functions. With support of Vice President of Human Resources, implement strategies to mitigate risk (e.g., clear policies, training, etc.) and continuously monitor and improve strategies.
  • Collect and analyze data from a variety of sources (e.g., HRIS, payroll, surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, compensation surveys and market data, etc.) to create accurate and relevant reports to support data-driven decision making, required compliance reporting, compensation recommendations, and audit processes.
  • When needed and appropriate, make recommendations for HR-related decisions impacting the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


General Duties

  • In collaboration with HR Team, plan and execute employee events such as All Staff Meetings, CLUES Family Day, etc.
  • Provide back-up support and coverage within the HR team.
  • Promote the mission, operating values, and agency services of CLUES within the community.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, agency policies and other applicable laws, regulations and ethical standards.
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS

  • This position may supervise HR interns and volunteers when assigned.



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Experience & Key Abilities*

  • 3+ years progressive HR experience required. At least 1 year in a strategic HR role, such as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, non-profit management, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and applicable regulations required.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders to drive organizational change and achieve business objectives required.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading and managing projects and initiatives preferred.
  • Experience facilitating training for employees preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish with cultural sensitivity and awareness required.
  • Must have strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of personal accountability and excellent communication skills required.
  • Must display tact and discretion in communicating regarding sensitive issues.
  • Self-directed with ability to work in a fast-paced environment required.

Language Skills

  • Effective communication in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written materials, maintain accurate documentation, and respond appropriately to questions and requests.


Computer Skills

  • Proficient working knowledge of email software, the Internet, databases, and common Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Must be willing to attend training to advance technical skills and maintain appropriate skill levels to perform job duties.
