We are searching for an experienced Buyer I at our US, Texas facility in a Fixed position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create Purchase Orders based on MRP parameters or as requested by other departments.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing requirements.
  • Help maintain accurate planning parameters in the QAD -SS, LT, transit time, buyer codes.
  • Facilitate MRB and Return to Supplier Process.
  • Process weekly departmental reports as needed.
  • Help to research and resolve invoicing/receiving discrepancies.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams/projects to help minimize shortages and excess/obsolete inventory in order to maximize service level, inventory turns, and other business targets.
  • Provide all the information and solutions about critical parts and shortages.
  • Review MRP reports and make decisions regarding order quantities, adjustments, safety stock and supplier selection.
  • Setting delivery times to ensure appropriate inventory levels on raw materials.
  • Monitor Supplier Performance based on deliveries, evaluate performance and provide feedback to Suppliers.
  • Conduct negotiations to secure goods and materials in support of the business function.
  • Ensure that incoming inspection process is meeting the company's expectations and needs.
  • Communicate any findings about safety and do proper actions.
  • Responsible for the inbound receiving and incoming inspection process, where applicable, and ensure that it is meeting the company's expectations and needs.
