How You'll Perform the Role

This role encompasses all of quality management including the effective execution of quality assurance and quality control processes. Ensures product meets all customer requirements through establishing, maintaining, and improving quality systems and processes. The quality manager ensures that quality complaints are tracked accurately and that controls are put in place to prevent future occurrences. This role also manages compliance to food safety, forestry, and quality programs to meet customer expectations.




  • Development, implementation and administration of quality policies and procedures for all employees
  • Provide new hire orientation and periodic training to all employees (food safety, quality & GMP).
  • Manage customer complaints: investigate events, perform root cause-corrective action, make recommendations, and manage corrective and preventive actions to ensure they get implemented.
  • Facilitate customer questions and concerns by establishing relationships with customer service, sales and corporate quality teams.
  • Provide monthly management quality reports, as required.
  • Maintain up to date inspection reports, files, quality programs and samples
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and report process data to internal and external customers.
  • Facilitate and assist support departments with technical expertise for process improvements, and environmental compliance (ink making, paste making, and graphics).
  • Lead continuous improvement activities and training within the plant.
  • Manage the internal nonconformance and hold process.
  • Responsible for all raw material and finished goods trials.
  • Responsible for performance management of direct reports (quality technicians).
  • Manage quality testing and inspections.
  • Support Forestry compliance.
  • Lead and manage food safety certification, serve as food safety practitioner, and lead HACCP team.
  • Ensure sanitation and Good Manufacturing Practice audits are conducted as required throughout the facility.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.


What We Need From You

  • A minimum of 5 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment, or relevant work experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Resin manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience with certifications and audits (food safety, ISO as examples) required.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have firm understanding of test procedures, statistics, and process controls.
  • Must have strong problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Strong collaborative team player.
  • Six sigma green belt certification a plus.
