Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer shall be responsible for AAM electronics product's PCB layout, building and maintaining component library, adjusting circuit schematics/PCB layout based on requirement and testing/bringing up the electronic boards.

Job Description

  • Responsible for AAM's electronic boards' schematics drawing and PCB layout, generate PCB output files, such as Gerber files, drawings, ODB++ files, etc.

  • Responsible for AAM electronic component's library buildup and maintenance.

  • Responsible for PCB layout review and release the necessary files into AAM PLM system.

  • Work closely with PCBA manufacturers to resolve DFM issues or concerns.

  • Responsible for bringing up/testing electronic boards.

  • Proficient in using Xpedition software to draw schematics and PCB layout.

  • Familiarity with IPC standards.

  • Experience in using Requirement Management Tools including but not limited to DOORS, PLM.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor degree of Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree is required.

  • 5+ years of in high voltage PCB layout.

  • 5+ years in automotive electronic product PCB layout.

  • Proficient in using Xpedition , or similiar software.
