Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

What We're Looking For:

Iridium is seeking a Partner Support Specialist III to join the Partner Support team. As a Partner Support Specialist III you will be responsible for the partner support activities related to large and small operational implementation efforts with our over 200+ partners. In this role, your primary focus will be to drive the onboarding and development of Iridium partner products. You'll be successful in this role if you have strong project management skills and can thrive in a dynamic environment with the ability to coordinate multiple projects.

What You'll Do:

    Engage with partners to help them develop and certify their products with Iridium. Host regular technical meetings with partner's developers and Iridium engineers for updates and trouble resolution.
  • Coordinate and drive projects during the development phase, effectively communicating requirements and issues with impacted organizations to address appropriately.
  • Monitor partners' progress toward certification and identify inhibiting items. Develop Iridium partner dashboards to internally track and report status.
  • Ensure timely certification and launch of partner products to increase revenue streams.
  • Craft solutions to create new and/or improved partner processes and tools, working across multiple Iridium teams to implement.
  • Monitor the configuration status of customer devices and provide firmware updates as needed.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively build and manage relationships, including those with senior leadership, through effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated business process understanding and working with sales, operations, finance, accounting, and legal.
  • Strong project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Be able to analyze a situation or problem, generate effective responses, and implement solutions through to completion. Attention to detail is important.
  • Exceptional computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet research.
  • Exceptional communicator (Verbal and Written) with ability to persuade individuals and groups.
  • Proficiency in foreign language(s) a plus.

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • BS/BA in Business, Science, Communications, or a related field. MBA or Masters degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in Product Management/customer support or similar role.
  • Experience with engineering a plus.
  • Strong preference for experience in the telecommunications industry, especially with wireless or satellite products/services.
  • Experience with requirements development, interactions with operations organizations, customer support and training.

We'll also need you to:

  • Be on call to support international partners
  • Be able to travel up to 10%
  • Be a US Citizen

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
