JOB SUMMARY:

Conduct daily purchasing duties, and establishing a sustainable inventory through the procurement processes

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in the following:

    • Establish and maintain proper inventory levels through purchasing
    • Provide purchase order quotes as needed
    • Run the daily Min/Max inventory report and create purchase orders for additional inventory as needed
    • Place factory direct orders for offsite customers and locations
    • Assist to establish inventory re-order points through historical consumption
    • Assist in the Return Merchandise Authorization process
    • Conduct other miscellaneous supply orders as needed


  • Identify and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Operate as a team player
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities)

  • High School Dree / GED, Associate Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional experience, purchasing, warehouse, ERP system experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or relevant systems.
  • Operate within the corporate policy guidelines and business practices.
  • Results oriented and demonstrated strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication skills, written/verbal with internal and external contacts.
  • Proven ability to be organized, detailed, multi-tasker, critical thinker, accurate, thorough and a problem-solver.
  • Ability to adapt to change in the workplace or assignment of duties.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the Family Member is regularly required to talk and hear. Required to frequently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers, handle feel, and reach with hands and arms.

The Family Member is occasionally required to lift and/or move 10 pounds, sit; stoop, bend and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, etc.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours or work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, occasional overtime required.
