Required Education and/or Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or information technology or a combination of equivalent work experience;

• Two to five years of experience managing a small to medium size wired and wireless network.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience managing small to medium sized networks, including wired, wireless, and firewalls;

• Experience planning and designing and deploying a highly redundant network;

• Experience working with vendors, IT partners, and various technical staff members to drive small to large projects to conclusion.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various team members to design, deploy, and maintain various network design configurations;

• Work with various departments to understand scope and needs;

• Aid in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans;

• Prepare and ensure accuracy of documentation, procedures, best practices, configurations, and backups;

• Patch management and system security;

• Capacity planning and monitoring;

• Capable and willing to carry out on-call support during regular workday, off-hours, and holidays;

• Team player capable of working independently or with other network engineers, system administrators, and IT endpoint administrators;

• Manage day-to-day tier networking engineering and support;

• Log work and track service incidents in centralized incident management system.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience planning, configuring, installing, and supporting both wired and wireless network environments;

• Experience with Clearpass highly desirable;

• Hands on experience troubleshooting networking devices;

• Familiarity with UNIX, comfortable with UNIX cli;

• Extensive networking applications support experience with DNS/DHCP, VOIP, IPv4, and IPv6;

• Extensive experience with networking design, including TCP/IP protocols;

• Strong customer service focus and collaborative team member.
