Architectural Designer

Job Duties: Participate in all phases of architectural projects including conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and assistance with oversight of project construction. Specifically,

● Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs and ensure the compliance of all the designs. 

● Use computer-assisted design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite containing Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create 3D rendering presentation drawings and prepare architectural drawings to document designs of buildings including spaces, layouts, specifications, materials, and equipment, aiming to help clients obtain building permits and construct buildings.

● Perform sketching and professional architectural rendering either freehand with watercolor or computer generated as needed.

● Responsible for maintaining drawing standards, consistency and quality of the job, conducting and developing graphic presentations for the clients and users.

● Conduct materials and product research with manufacturers and vendors. Represent architect on construction site, ensuring builder compliance with design specifications and advising on design corrections, under architect’s supervision.

● Perform other job duties as assigned including determining procedures and instructions to be followed, according to design specifications and schedules.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Studies, or a closely related field.
