Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Cardiology - Heart Failure Full Time Days Detroit

Will be working with patients with heart failure. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The APP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families. The NP or PA provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing OR Bachelor's Degree or Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program Previous cardiology experience is preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current State license as a Registered Nurse OR Requires Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National. Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Current BLS. Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.
