Position Purpose

The candidate must be able to work DAYTIME AND EVENING AVAILABIITY REQUIRED IN THE GREATER YOUNGSTOWN AREA.

You'll be a great fit if:

  • You have a MBA from an accredited business college or university. (ACBSP accreditation preferred).
  • Are available to work both day and evening hours.
  • Are able to work in the Youngstown, Ohio area.
  • You are current in your field of expertise.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitating courses, which include developing and maintaining syllabi, preparing unit tests and final examinations, developing assignments and projects.
  • Assess the success and objectives of the course while coordinating with full-time faculty members and adjuncts to provide consistency and high academic standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to the learning environment including instructions of college courses

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Deliver enthusiastic, high-quality instructions to our students (including exploring new and innovative ways to deliver the instructions).
  • Participate in committee assignments within our department, division, and college.
  • Work with full-time faculty members to provide consistency and high academic standards.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to function effectively and productively in team-based initiatives.
  • Use technology including all MS Office programs, Blackboard and Internet-delivered materials

Checking candidates' references for multiple top candidates provides a valuable means of verifying skills and experience represented in resumes and interviews. SkillSurvey Reference, a cloud-based, data-driven solution allows us to access relevant feedback from references provided by our candidates. The chosen references receive job-specific surveys on at least 26 critical behaviors and skills. These behavioral competencies have been scientifically studied and have been shown to correlate with work outcomes.

Stark State College utilizes E-Verify to ensure compliance with applicable employment eligibility laws. E-Verify is an electronic system used to confirm the employment eligibility of new hires. This process will be conducted in accordance with I-9 verification and will be done promptly upon hire for all incoming employees.
