What you'll do

The Product Owner will be responsible for ensuring their product delivers maximum value to our customers and the business. You will accomplish this by collaborating with Product Managers who define the strategy and vision of products and work closely with a development team to translate and break down that vision into deliverable items that bring value to schools across the country.

You will accomplish this by managing and prioritizing the team's backlog for their product. Translate Product Manager's vision and strategy into stories for a development team. Understand the needs of their stakeholders and use that understanding to break down and prioritize work. Collaborate with Product Manager to make decisions on what goes into product. Carry out product strategy within department. Demonstrate commitment to timelines. You will understand the product in detail. Lead focus group discussions with stakeholders to elicit feedback on solutions. Provide demos and communication of direction to stakeholders. You will be asked to provide product expertise into the Launch process. You will work with other product owners to ensure consistency across products. You will utilize accepted Agile practices and collaborate on customer-facing product documentation.

Your skill-set

You have excellent analytical and organizational skills. You have the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with frequent software releases. You possess excellent written and oral communication skills. You are capable of leading a team and manage multiple resources in a high-interrupt environment. You possess strong communication and presentation skills. You've obtained a Bachelors Degree and/or 8+ years product analyst or product owner experience. You are technically competent, particularly in the area of relational database management systems and web-based software applications.
