This person will be covering the East and South areas of the Mid-South region. This includes portions of Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee and Mississippi.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Sells products and services to business and industrial establishments at customer's place of business by performing the following duties.
In particular, you will:

Will work closely with the Strategic Accounts Team in the following areas:

  • Accountable for communication of all opportunities and issues of Strategic National Accounts (SNA) serviced within the regional company.
  • Manage the profitability of assigned large customer, national and regional accounts in alignment with Strategic Accounts objectives developing financial leverage to maximize margin retention
  • Responsible for the driving of sales to strategic accounts in the region. This includes the coordination and delegation of sales activities with the region's sales management and team.
  • Responsible for rollouts, implementations, and reporting requirements for all SNA;s within the regional company as well as responsible for completion of required cost savings documentation.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Airgas and all strategic account locations are adhering to contract commitments. Escalate to the national group inactive accounts that require national contact. Maintain and monitor active/non-active files.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, pricing, and agreements for Strategic accounts.
  • Stay abreast of current market trends.
  • Accountable for the communication of all opportunities and issues of Strategic Accounts serviced within the regional company.
  • Act as liaison between the regional company and Strategic Accounts.
  • Identify new prospects - develop & prioritize relationships
  • Responsible for "knowing your region" - need to familiarize and be able to navigate your regional resources
  • Utilize the RAM as your support resource for price reviews, reports etc.
  • Analyze existing regional company customer databases; identify new potential prospects; develop and implement strategies to acquire as well as solidify and enhance existing client relationships.
  • This regional position requires full-time allocation.
  • Develop and prioritize targets based on our ability to solidify and enhance our existing position with these targets.
  • While not "servicing" the account on a daily basis, the role is to assist and support strategic relationships and ensure that Airgas and the customer have met contractual obligations.

  • Ability to set goals and motivate self and others to achieve these goals.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and deploy the assets in the form of specialists, applications, and personnel to realize this potential.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Computer experience using Google: Sheets, Docs, Slides, Excel, Word, Salesforce, SAP, and Power BI.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
