About the Role
The Rotational Leadership Development Program at MannKind is a pivotal opportunity designed for emerging leaders passionate about driving innovation in healthcare. This program aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders by providing comprehensive exposure to various functional areas within our organization. RLD Associates will undertake a series of challenging rotations within the Commercial organization, including departments such as Sales, Sales Operations, and Marketing This immersive experience will allow Associates to gain a deep understanding of our core business processes and develop essential leadership skills critical in the fast-paced biotechnology industry. Our ideal candidates are individuals who demonstrate a commitment to excellence, possess strong analytical abilities, and have a knack for problem-solving. Throughout the program, Associates will receive mentorship from seasoned leaders, engage in meaningful projects, and contribute to initiatives that enhance MannKind's mission of improving global health outcomes. By the end of the program, Associates will emerge as well-rounded leaders ready to take on significant roles within our organization, equipped with the strategic insights, technical acumen, and collaborative spirit needed to thrive in this dynamic field.
Three Nine Month Rotations:
Commercial Sales: Associates will experience a career as a sales representative, gaining a deeper understanding of our HCP audience, their needs, motivations, and the office/hospital dynamics. This rotation provides a detailed perspective of the patient experience from diagnosis to treatment, helping Associates understand daily life as a sales representative, gain knowledge of therapeutic categories, and develop a holistic understanding of Sales' needs for future rotations.
Business Analytics Insights and Strategy: Associates will learn the origins of our sales data, how it is analyzed, and its role in shaping strategy, targeting, call planning, and incentive compensation. This rotation will provide insights into the sources of our sales data, the construction of call plans, and the application of data in marketing efforts. Additionally, associates will gain a comprehensive understanding of the integration of sales and marketing strategies, the development of performance metrics, and the optimization of sales processes. They will also learn about the coordination of cross-functional initiatives, the management of sales tools and technologies, and the implementation of best practices in sales operations. This experience will equip associates with a holistic view of how Commercial Operations drive business success in a dynamic biotech environment.

Marketing: Associates will immerse themselves in the core of our commercial efforts, observing how Marketing collaborates closely with Sales, Medical, Trade, and Sales Ops to build strategies, tactics, and communications. During this rotation, associates will gather insights from primary and secondary data, convert these insights into actionable strategies and tactics, develop effective sales messaging, manage agency relationships, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and its impact on our business.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on critical projects.

* Analyze market trends and internal processes to provide strategic recommendations.

* Develop and deliver presentations on project findings to senior leadership.

* Engage in mentorship initiatives with established leaders to gain insights and guidance.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

* Demonstrated leadership experience through internships, projects, or extracurricular activities.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

* Passion for the biotechnology field and commitment to improving healthcare.

* Willingness to relocate for rotational assignments as required.
