This role is responsible to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Hybrid Downtown Pittsburgh, PA

Responsibilities:



  • Assist in the planning, design, and development of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, plus identify and resolve business systems issues.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of all impacted computing systems.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Assist in the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Conduct research on software products to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts.
  • Create system design documents and workflows.
  • Ability to perform simple cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed system enhancements.
  • Create systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts to document processes.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferredwithatleast3+yearsofrelevantexperience.Certifications preferred.

Preferred:



  1. Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, systems, or products relating to financial applications.
  2. Working technical knowledge of SQL programming language.
  3. Proficient using MS Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  4. Experience with solutioning and supporting complex integrations between both hosted and on-premise technology.
  5. Experience with one or many of the following: Oracle Cloud Financials, Oracle Enterprise Project Management, PowerPlan, Tax Software
  6. Experience with IBM Maximo is a plus.
  7. Experience with enterprise IT systems
  8. Experience with Transformation projects (People, Process, Technology)
  9. Experience with Azure DevOps and other Cloud technologies
  10. General understanding of Finance and Accounting practices such as GAAP and utility regulatory accounting
