Location: Fallon, NV

Security Clearance Requirement: Top Secret

Telework Eligible? No - 100% On-Site

As the System Administrator, you will support the F-35 Emulated Non-OFP Interoperability Xperience (FENIX) system. This position will be based 100% on-site at NAS Fallon, NV.

  • Maintaining and operating the FENIX simulator and running training events.
  • Providing input to help improve existing capabilities within the system.
  • Collaborate with pilots to address and troubleshoot system issues in real-time.
  • Working with the system administration team to help identify and resolve technical issues (e.g., control systems, visual displays or communications) in the simulation environment.
  • Installing and managing software updates; testing updated software within system and its interoperability with other T/M/S systems.
  • Correcting flaws and implementing technical controls in the hardware or software installed within a network environment.
  • Maintaining accurate records of system maintenance and repairs.
  • Working with the system administration and cybersecurity teams to maintain cyber posture, e.g., running software scans, conducting audits, etc.
  • This position will require flexibility in working hours.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • 3 years of related system administration experience, required.
  • Proven experience working with Linux systems is required.
  • In depth experience working with routers and firewalls and a working knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Experience maintaining and operating the naval flight simulator, is a plus.
  • Prior Navy AT (Avionics Technician) rating is a plus.
  • Some coursework in electronics is a plus.
  • DoD Approved Baseline Certification as Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, (i.e., GSEC, Security +CE, SSCP and Vendor certification and IT Training Provider certificate for network environment main operating system).

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
