External Description Membership Data Analyst The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), the largest airline pilot union in the world and the largest non-governmental aviation safety organization in the world (representing over 79,000 pilots at 42 U.S. and Canadian airlines) seeks an experienced Membership Data Analyst for our Tysons (McLean), Virginia office. The Membership Data Analyst serves as the primary data analyst for Membership and associated reporting - using the Membership database and financial systems - and as the point of contact for internal/external system data users. They directly support the administration of membership, dues, and other processes within the Association, including special projects and IT system configurations/enhancements. They collect, clean, and transform data from various sources to develop clear and engaging visualizations that convey their findings and recommendations to users across the Association. They have the ability to apply statistical tools and techniques to analyze data, identifying trends and relationships that can be used to isolate problems, develop solutions, and implement data-driven strategies to improve business processes and project outcomes. They also ensure the quality and accuracy of the membership data by identifying and correcting errors in the data and participating in the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of related data systems and databases. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. ALPA is a member-driven, staff supported, union with two internal professional unions.
Bachelor's degree in relevant area, e.g., Business, Data Analysis, Statistics, Information Systems, Accounting & Finance, or related field, from an accredited college or university required; or, the equivalent combination of education and practical experience.

Occasionally required to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve binders, books, boxes, and files up to ten (10) pounds (lbs.). While on travel, could be responsible to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve luggage weighing as much as 50 lbs. (Assistance may not always be available.)
