Data Scientist - Field Service Analytics (Vivint LLC, Lehi, UT)

Provide data-driven insights to optimize and improve Field Service operations and guide decisions regarding challenging business questions. Develop deep understanding of Field Service operations and understand how the various parts of the business work together (sales, customer support, inventory and supply chain, product teams, etc.). Leverage understanding of the business case for current efforts and help understand tradeoffs, ROI, and strategy implications of potential new initiatives. Analyze and report on current efforts, with a particular focus on opportunities for increased efficiency and operational success metrics. Monitor data integrity and craft and build a narrative of what's happening in the business. Build and maintain statistical models to support operational efforts including work order creation, classification, scheduling, routing, and optimization. Write SQL queries for ad hoc data requests. Contribute to the team code library on Github to maintain proper version control. Mentor new analysts in team best practices, statistical methodologies, and career development. Partial telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report to Vivint LLC, 3401 Ashton Blvd, Lehi, UT 84043. Salary: $55,016 - $89,738.75 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years professional experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or any occupation/position/job title involving machine learning operations.

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field, plus 3 years professional experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or any occupation/position/job title involving machine learning operations.

Must have the following special skills: 3 years of professional experience performing Machine Learning Operations (including project planning and formulation, data acquisition and analysis, and implementation into business process) using Machine Learning Operations tools (including Datarobot or Databricks); 3 years of professional experience utilizing statistical concepts (including regression, probability, covariance, and correlation) and methodologies (including cross-tab analysis, graphical analysis, financial modelling, regression modelling, and segmentation analysis); 3 years of professional experience utilizing statistical analysis tools including R, Python, SQL, and Snowflake; 3 years of professional experience performing data analysis (including identifying trends and patterns), synthesizing findings (including defining ongoing metrics to track and evaluate progress), and communicating results to management; and 3 years of professional experience collaborating with technical teams to ensure data quality and accuracy and extract required data.
