The IT Temp will assist in converting MATLAB code to Python for a financial modeling tool used in the Tokyo office. Responsibilities include verifying Python code accuracy and translating additional MATLAB files. This role offers hands-on experience in coding, financial modeling, and ESG analytics.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will convert MATLAB code to Python for a financial modeling tool, verify the accuracy of Python outputs by comparing them to MATLAB, debug and test code for reliability, and collaborate with team members to refine the tool's functionality.

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications:



  • Must be a currently enrolled high school senior with aspirations to pursue a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python and MATLAB, with experience converting MATLAB code to Python.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of coding projects.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) tools to collect and analyze data
  • Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and organizational expertise are strongly preferred.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Understanding of numerical methods and optimization techniques.


Location

The expected application deadline for this job is March 28, 2025. This is a remote position.

Compensation

The hourly salary range for this role is $25 - $35, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
