The Global Marketing Director is responsible for the strategy, development, execution and optimization of initiatives to drive awareness, understanding, preference, and demand for Verisign domain names and related products and services. This position will:
- Drive the development of integrated marketing campaigns in the Americas and other direct marketing projects, as directed, both with the sales channel and direct to the end customer.
- Lead the creative and media execution for direct marketing campaigns and projects.
- Support marketing campaigns and projects at a universal, global level, encompassing multiple markets and channels.
The ideal candidate will be a versatile, seasoned, and self-motivated marketer, with a proven track record of providing thought leadership and hands-on management of integrated marketing campaigns and projects on time and on budget, while partnering cross-functionally with internal teams and external agencies to develop and execute. Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a universal portfolio of initiatives related to our domains marketing efforts.
- Responsible for strategy, creative direction and development, execution, reporting, analysis, and optimization of direct marketing activities.
- Drive coordination and collaboration with multiple internal teams for campaign and/or project execution, including, but not limited to, content marketing, creative services, product marketing, social marketing, account management, events, digital marketing, research, web production, marketing operations, legal, and finance.
- Manage external marketing agencies strategic and tactical executions to support campaigns and/or projects.
- Contribute to define and integrate go-to-market strategies for both business to business (B2B) and business to community (B2C) audiences, through cooperation and integration with global counterparts.
- Develop scopes of work, inform and manage budgets, providing timely updates on a regular basis.
- Work closely with the sales channel programs team and sales channel partners to drive brand integration into partner campaigns and improve effectiveness of Verisign investments in market.
Additional responsibilities:
- Ability to work EST hours to ensure overlap with global team members and company headquarters core work hours.
Qualifications:
- 4-year bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- 12+ years experience in digital marketing, branding, media planning and management, and project management
- Successful track record of driving branding and/or demand generation projects in the retail and/or technology fields
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously within deadlines
- Strong strategic thinking, tying branding and/or demand generation activities to overall company go-to-market strategy
- Strong people leader with the ability to influence a cross-functional team to efficiently produce quality results in a deadline driven environment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to work well independently as well as in a team setting across internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation management and execution
- Strong operational acumen with experience in budget management, procurement processes, and scope of work development
- Ability to inform research initiatives and to analyze, interpret, and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to derive insights and inform go-to-market plans
This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule The pay range is $164,300- $222,300. The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
