VP Embedded Finance Project Manager (Hybrid)

Work Arrangement:

***After the initial training period, this is a hybrid role, working onsite in our Sioux Falls, SD office.***

The Vice President Embedded Finance Project Manager is responsible for overseeing cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful implementation of embedded payments, banking, and lending solutions for clients. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations, optimizing workflows, and delivering high-quality solutions that align with business objectives. The Project Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of the project plan including all aspects of solutioning, planning, and execution.

Essential Functions

1. Develops and maintains project plans, timelines, and budgets for embedded finance initiatives.
2. Coordinates with product, engineering, compliance, and business teams to ensure timely execution.
3. Oversees API integrations with payment processors, banks, and financial service providers.
4. Works with third-party financial providers (e.g., banks, payment gateways, BaaS platforms) to ensure smooth integrations.
5. Collaborates with internal teams to define and align project requirements with business needs.
6. Manages communication with regulatory bodies and compliance teams to ensure adherence to financial regulations.
7. Identifies risks related to payments, banking, and lending projects and mitigates potential challenges.
8. Works closely with security teams to implement data protection and fraud prevention measures.
9. Tracks KPIs for embedded finance solutions, including transaction success rates, user adoption, and operational efficiency.
10. Identifies opportunities to optimize financial workflows, settlements, and reconciliation processes.
11. Provides regular reports and insights to leadership on project progress and performance.
12. Leads retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery.

Education/Experience Requirements

* An Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
* 5+ years of experience in project management within fintech, banking, payments, or embedded finance.
* Proven experience managing API-driven financial technology projects.
* Familiarity with payment gateways, and compliance frameworks.
* Strong knowledge of financial regulations and security standards (PCI-DSS, GDPR, PSD2, KYC/AML).

Preferred Qualifications

* Project management certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PRINCE2).
* Strong understanding of cloud-based financial architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure).
