The Float Therapist/Social Worker provides quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to all patient populations and their families while serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy, and assuring the deliverance of quality patient care. The Float Therapist/Social Worker will work in different therapeutic settings across the facility including admissions, and inpatient and outpatient services. The Float Therapist/Social Worker participates as a member of the treatment team in developing treatment plans and with the UM staff communicating pertinent information to family, payer, and external case managers. The Float Therapist/Social Worker will be responsible for providing counseling services to patients across the facility in an Inpatient and Outpatient Setting. This position will require flexibility and the ability to adapt to change.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an active participant in the treatment planning process.
  • Lead group therapy sessions for inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Provide psychosocial assessments and substance abuse/chemical dependency evaluation of patients.
  • Provides appropriate crisis intervention as necessary.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

Master's degree in Behavioral Health required.

Licensure/Certification:

Current HWC and CPR Certification (training provided)
Current Tennessee Driver's License
TN SW Licensure and NASW membership preferred

Experience:
2 years' experience in Mental Health preferred. Experience with leading group therapy is strongly preferred
