Job Description

The Community Financial Institutions team at Visa is seeking an MBA or related Masters Intern to support sales and consulting efforts in the Northeast region. The intern will work closely with the consulting side of the house, focusing on managing relationships with third-party consultants and assisting bank and credit union clients during negotiations for new agreements. This role will involve a mix of consulting and sales activities, with a primary focus on market research and consulting.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and analyze data and trends relative to community banks and credit unions to identify potential opportunities to win new clients
  • Assist 3rd party consultant team in creating a framework or frameworks to engage 3rd party consultants that work for community issuers, and manage their RFPs for Brand decisions
  • Support the negotiation process by gathering relevant data and coordinating with the 3rd party consultant team
  • Participate in meetings with 3rd party consultants to codify operating models and identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in sales strategy meetings and contribute ideas to improving client engagement and outreach
  • Conduct research and identify how best to engage Boards of Directors of key clients and prospects
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Students pursuing an MBA or related MastersDegree with a graduation date in December 2025 or later
  • 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing, Economics, Finance, or General Business
  • Strong analytical ability with basic Excel skills
  • Ability to interpret data and derive meaningful insights
  • Proficiency in creating data formats and storytelling through data
  • Strong executive presence and precision
  • Inquisitive nature, with a tendency to ask questions and seek understanding
  • Aptitude for storytelling in writing
  • Experience in the payments space is preferred but not required
Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated hourly range for a new hire into this position is $46.00/hr which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
