Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating all aspects and activities of various construction and remodel projects within the James Avery Craftsman (JAC) facilities.

Essential Functions

*Coordinates multiple, parallel projects using formal project management techniques. Plans and organizes activities concerned with construction and/or remodel of any James Avery Craftsman facilities.

*Schedules projects in logical steps and invokes time management skills required to meet deadlines and effectively complete daily tasks while working remotely. Ensures projects are completed with minimal down time or impact to the facilities' daily operations.

*Oversees revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.

*Inspects and reviews projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations. Responsible for final inspections and walk throughs of any project ensuring details have been completed to Company specifications and craftsmanship.

*Assists with setting up and commissioning various manufacturing equipment and systems.

*Takes action to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site. Assists with response efforts in the event of emergencies.

*Investigates damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure proper procedures are being conducted. Strives for continuous process improvements and implements quality control programs with effective solutions and outcomes.

*Selects, contracts and provides project oversight of sub-contractors who complete various project work, such as painting, plumbing, etc.

*Monitors projects through administrative guidance of on-site supervisors to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets the Company's strong attention to detail standards.

*Communicates status of projects in a timely manner. Initiates and maintains communication with the other departments to facilitate project activities.

*Works directly with both Technical and General Maintenance departments to assist with equipment and facility needs.

*Requisitions supplies and materials to complete construction projects and special features.

*Interprets and explains plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and departmental managers.

*Formulates reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.

*Coordinates budget activities concerned with the construction and remodeling projects within Corporate, or manufacturing facilities.

*Provides support to all corporate and manufacturing locations and performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

*High School Diploma or equivalent.

*2 years related construction and/or construction administration experience.

*Must have valid State Driver's License and be able to meet James Avery's driving requirements.

*Basic proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel and Outlook.

*Excellent communication and listening skills with ability to understand written and verbal instructions.

*Strong collaboration and effective partnerships with internal departments and external customers.

*Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.

*Ability to read and interpret various documents such as purchase orders, bill of ladings, sales orders, work/job orders, packing lists and procedure manuals.

*Basic mathematic proficiency such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, including calculating percentages.

*Strong problem-solving, time management and organizational skills.

*Ability to quickly learn new technology.

*Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure managing frequent interruptions.

*Ability to safely lift up to 25 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.

*Ability to travel to various work locations and facilities.

*Ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as business need requires.

Preferred Qualifications

*Experience with Adobe Acrobat and/or Smartsheet.

*Experience with project management software.
