Summary of Position

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our On-The-Job Training program as a construction Laborer for projects in the Hamburg, PA region. This role provides hands-on experience in the Highway Civil sector, with a focus on highway and bridge construction. The position involves physically demanding tasks and requires outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Assist with tasks in the Highway, Bridge, and Heavy Civil sectors, including but not limited to:
  • Roadway grading
  • Storm drain installation
  • Concrete work (roadways, curbs, and sidewalks)
  • Concrete structure forming operations
  • Traffic control on interstate and secondary roads
• Safely operate manual, gas-powered, and air-powered tools as needed
• Operate non-CDL vehicles as required
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical, drug, and alcohol screening
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle the technical aspects of the job
• Demonstrated interest and aptitude for the construction trade
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
• Ability to follow instructions, work well with others, and maintain a positive attitude
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Basic experience with hand tools, including a utility knife, tape measure, and claw hammer
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments with exposure to heat, cold, and rain
• Commitment to following all company safety policies and working in a safe manner
