The General Laborer in a CNC manufacturing company is responsible for assisting in various shop floor operations, including assisting CNC saw cutting, parts washing, material handling, maintenance, and other general tasks to support production. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position starts at $20 per hour and will increase to $21 at 6 months and then $22 at one year.
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Saw Cutting: Willingness to learn but initially assist with CNC saws to cut raw materials to specified sizes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Parts Washing: Perform thorough cleaning of machined parts using industrial washers, solvents, or manual methods to remove oils, chips, and debris.
Material Handling: Move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished parts using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually as needed.
Machine Maintenance Assistance: Support basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning machines, changing fluids, and assisting technicians with minor repairs.
Deburring: Remove sharp edges, burrs, and imperfections from machined parts using hand tools, abrasive wheels, pencil grinders and tumblers.
Shop Organization & Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored along with sweeping and mopping,
Inspection Support: Assist in basic quality control by checking parts for visual defects and proper labeling.
General Shop Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting machine operators, packing parts for shipment, and maintaining safety compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Ability to operate hand tools, measuring instruments, calipers and basic machinery.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn CNC operations.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
This role is essential in supporting CNC production operations and ensuring the efficiency of daily manufacturing processes.
