POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc. a company of Afognak Native Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Support Specialist at our corporate office in Huntsville, AL.The Systems Support Specialist plays a critical role in providing front-line support for scheduling and timekeeping software applications for Afognak Diversified Services, Inc. a security company operating in locations across the United States. The systems support role includes IT support, training end users, and monitoring system performance and integration. Additionally, this position supports the President and operations group to enhance both internal and external communications and operational effectiveness.

System Support Functions



  • Act as the primary point of contact for providing technical support and assistance for scheduling software, providing excellent customer service to end users in multiple locations.
  • Engage with IT and software application owner to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integration points, network connectivity, and uphold IT security policies.
  • Communicate with users regarding the status of issues and implement appropriate solutions or workarounds in a timely manner.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to software usage and scheduling metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Provide technical insights for workflow efficiency during cross-departmental meetings.
  • Ensure data exchange is accurate between systems to avoid discrepancies in attendance or payroll.
  • Administer user configurations, permissions, and access within the scheduling software. Includes conducting periodic reviews of user access to prevent unauthorized use of the software.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Operational Support Functions



  • Develop and provide training materials and sessions for end-users to effectively use scheduling and timekeeping software.
  • Develop and maintain user manuals, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides specific to the software applications.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees by explaining the software functionality and processes.
  • Manage and update media content for the ADS website and social media pages, ensuring accurate and engaging information is presented.


Payrate:$65,000 to $75,000 Annually

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited institution or demonstrated experience in software support or related services for at least three (3+) years as a substitute for educational requirements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Competency in navigating various web-based platforms and services with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Must possess excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Security industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with WinTeam, Deltek Costpoint, Guardtek, and/or scheduling software preferred.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with various corporate departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting leadership and collaborating with colleagues.
