About Us

Sunstar Engineering Americas (SEA), a highly successful manufacturer of automotive adhesives, sealants, and coating products, is seeking an experienced individual to join our team.

About the Position

As part of the EHS team be a leader in the development, application and execution of safe work practices, employee safety training, proper waste disposal, and environmental awareness. Become knowledgeable in the federal, state and local regulations as they relate to safety and the environment. Effectively work with employees throughout each production facility, quality laboratories, administration areas and research laboratories.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Apply OSHA and EPA regulations to workforce and workplace with EHS team guidance.
  • Assist in creating and implementing safety programs like hazard communication and lockout/tagout.
  • Conduct safety inspections and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance.
  • Develop employee awareness initiatives and safety training programs.
  • Identify and manage strategies to eliminate or minimize hazards across the organization.
  • Utilize analytical tools like root cause analysis to improve safety and efficiency.
  • Support implementation of programs/initiatives such as CANDO and ISO.
  • Maintain inventory of safety and production supplies; oversee maintenance of respiratory and security equipment.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles and mobile elevated work platforms safely.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications for hazardous waste disposal, hazardous materials transportation, and vehicle operation.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to resolve health and safety issues.



Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental discipline, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand/walk for up to eight hours, and work in challenging conditions (heat, dust, dirt).
  • Flexibility to work different shifts to support safety and health monitoring.
