About Us

Sunstar Engineering Americas (SEA), a highly successful manufacturer of automotive adhesives, sealants, and coating products, is seeking an experienced individual to join our team.

About the Position

Perform duties to supervise all onboarding and training of Production, Warehouse and Dock associates ensuring understanding of safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost and efficiency when newly trained associates go into their new roles.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe operating practices, good working conditions, and act as Safety Leader.
  • Facilitate daily activities, monitor KPIs, and drive problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Oversee team accountability, conduct performance reviews, and manage attendance records for payroll.
  • Develop and monitor project progress, budgets, and report to department leadership.
  • Coordinate hiring recommendations and temporary placements with the department manager.
  • Own training plans, onboarding processes, and the development of standardized training methods.
  • Create "DOJO" style onboarding for new hires, including safety, policy reviews, and hands-on classroom training.
  • Audit and monitor SOPs, ensuring work processes align with instructions.
  • Develop cross-training programs for associates to enhance operational flexibility and career advancement.
  • Lead, audit, and support programs like 5S and CANDO while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support associate promotions through standardized evaluations, documentation, and collaboration with leadership.



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related field preferred; 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing required.
  • Chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficient in creating Work Instructions, SOPs, Training Matrices, Skill Maps, and conducting process audits.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing required.
  • Ability to attain training certifications as needed.
